do women have equal rights?

An argumentation: “Do women have equal rights at work?”

Do women really have equal rights at work today or are there still differences like it was about 2 decades ago? This is the topic of the argumentation.

It is important in the time of the emancipation of women that they have to be treated as full-valued humans.

I first want to say that the situation of equal opportunities for women today is much better than it was about twenty years ago, when women were often passed over from men. At the present day it seems for a minority of people that women and men have equal rights at work, but it is acknowledged that when you look at this special point more in detail you will see that there are still a lot of differences between  men and women at work or in the society. One important fact is the differences between the wages for men and women in some jobs. You just have to look pricesely at the high position in companies; most of the brass hats are men. Another point is that many members of the society still think in a tradtionell way of women and their work.They think that women should be at home and care for the family because they’re not good enough for that kind of “man-job”. I also think that the society sees women as the weak gender, that’s why there are special laws for women to protect them from being passed over in their rights .These laws are often a good thing for some women.

In my opinion there can’t be equality between men and women as long as there are such laws protecting women.
