Little Star for Jimmy

Little Star for Jimmy

One
night, on 24th December, there was a little angel named “Little
Star”. Little Star was very sad. She watched the other angels flying down to
earth. They all were happy, were dancing on their stars and talked to eath
other. It was Christmas night and the other angels had to remind the people
what happened more than 2000 years ago. That was when Jesus Christ was born to
save the world.

But
now, Little Star wasn’t allowed to fly down to earth. “Why am I not allowed to
help you?”, she asked times and times again. “You’re to small. You don’t know
the people. They are sad, in bad moods and unfriendly. It’s dangerously to look
into their dreams. They don’t believe in us, so they get afraid if they see us.
Some angels never came back. You know, if a human has seen you, you’re not an
angel any more. You become human and have to live on earth until you die”, the
other angels answered. But Little Star knew that. “I can look after myself!
Please give me a chance! I will show you I’m as good as the other ones”. But
they said “no”. So Little Star had to stay alone on her small star. She was
sitting there for a long time. She didn’t know how much time she had spent
sitting there. Everything she knew was that she was alone, without any friends,
just by herself. Tears began to role through her face. Tear after tear, first
only one or two. Than she started to cry.

Suddenly, she heard a voice wispering.
“Hey, Little Star! Listen to me! Hey, Little Star!” She turned around, but she
didn’t see anybody. “Where are you?”, she wanted to know. “I’m everywhere.
Don’t be afraid if you can’t see me. Just listen.” The mysterious voice told
Little Star to go down to earth to help a little boy called Jimmy. Jimmy lived
in a childrens home. His parents died some years ago. Little Star should go
down to earth to make this Christmas better for Jimmy. She was told to visit
Jimmy in his dreams and to tell him there will be some people who will become
his new parents soon. “But I’m not allowed to go there! I’m just to small!”,
Little Star answered. Than she woke up. It just had been a dream.

“How
can a dream seem so real? What does it mean? Should I really go there?”, Little
Star wondered. She looked down to earth. Than she stood up, spread her wings
and flew down to Jimmy.

After
hours, she saw the childrens home Jimmy lived in. She was lucky. Even the first
window she tried to open wasn’t closed. It was Jimmys room. He was sleeping. On
the desk next to him, there was a paper. It was a letter , but not an ordinary
one. It was a letter for Santa Claus. Little Star read Jimmys wish. It was only
one, but a special. “Dear Santa. I hope you can help me. I’ve got only one
wish. I want to have a friend. He can look terrible, or he can be ill, he just
should be there for me. I’m so lonely. Please help me. Yours, Jimmy”.

Little
Star went into Jimmys dreams. It was terrible. In every dream, there only was
the accident. Little Star saw Jimmys parents. They were laying on the floor,
blood everywhere. Jimma was sitting next to them, holding their hands. Nobody
else was there, only Jimmy and his parents. Little Star was chocked. In every
dream, she saw the same situation. Jimmy between his parents, Little Star
covered by a big tree.

But in one dream, Little Star walked
through Jimmy, sat down next to him and took his hand. “Hey, Jimmy. Don’t cry.
Now, I’m there for you. You’re not alone any more. I’m here to be your friend.”
Next day, when Jimmy went down to the big hall for breakfast, he was surprised.
In front of him, Little Star was standing. “You… you’re the angel…Why are you
here and where are your wings?” Little Star smiled. “I’m not an angel any more.
I’m human like you. I’m the friend you wanted. Jimmy was happy. And Little Star
was happy, too. They booth had found a friend. They went into the big hall for
breakfast. Jimmy was grinding. He felt so lucky like he hadn’t done for a very
long time. This had been the most wonderful Christmas in his life.
