Darkness among the forest
Where creatures prepare to dance
Who knows where they came from
They just appeared in a glance

Nymphs and fairies lilting their sweet chants
To praise the night, in velvet veils
My kingdom for a jester’s wisdom
The old king shouts in search of hales

The elfin folk know it’s their last hour
So they’ll celebrate until they’re done
Some thousand years and some thousand stories
Shimmering past and we’ll go on
